About the company

OÜ Laheotsa is a family company based 100% on Estonian private capital. The company was established in 1992 by Väino Villers. During nearly 20 years of activities the company has specialised and is mainly growing and processing own-grown vegetables.

The main assortment of the company consists of potato, carrot, beet and turnip.


OÜ Laheotsa owns over 1,000 ha of land. The produce is grown in Padise municipality near the Padise monastery. The entire own-grown produce is washed, peeled, boiled, chopped and packed at the plants of the company. The majority of the produce is sold in Estonia; a small amount is also sold abroad. Our Estonian-grown washed, peeled, chopped and packaged products can be found in all major retail shops

Until the year 2008 the company operated mainly in the HoReCa sector. In 2008 the company bought the competitor Laheotsa Farm. The total volume of produce of 2008 was over 20,000 tons, of which nearly 14,000 tons of washed, cleaned, peeled and packaged net produce was sold. In 2009 domestic vegetables are grown in total on 465 hectares.

OÜ Laheotsa sells its produce under trademarks Laheotsa and Viller. The products are marked with the Grown in Estonia label to indicate their Estonian origin.
OÜ Laheotsa is a member of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Horticulture Association.
